When it coms to aromatherapy, there's nothing quite like the gentle honey-like aroma of beeswax which also emits negative ions to help purify the air when it is melted. The combination of precious beeswax with organic essential oils creates an ethereal aromatic atmosphere that can truly elevate the energy in a space. Beeswax candles also burn significantly brighter and longer than most candles made of other waxes. Though beeswax can be expensive and difficult to work with, at Kalima Candles we believe in making the most premiere candles that we possibly can, which means that we are willing to put in the extra work to make the purest candles for your health and the environment! We sincerely hope that you enjoy your aromatherapy experience.
A pillar candle's longevity will depend on how evenly you burn it. It is strongly recommended to burn your pillar candles for 2 hours at a time. There are ways you can improve the longevity of your pillar candles:
- Keep the wick trimmed to ¼” - trim before and after each burn - remove any wick trimmings before lighting
- For the first burn, let the candle burn for one hour per diameter inch then extinguish the flame and allow it to cool completely - for example, if the pillar is a 2” diameter, the first burn should last 2 hours
- For any longer burn, keep the top of the wax folded in toward the flame
- Burn your pillar candle on a candle stand or in a candle holder.
- Gently "hug" your candle-- delicately fold the outer edges of your pillar candles inwards to help preserve your candle! (only do this if you are comfortable playing with warm wax.
Pillar candles are more effective and long-lasting if you take good care of them!
Our hemp wicks are easy to trim. Simply grab a tissue, then pinch off the tip of your wick with the tissue, before each light of your candle. If you have wick trimmers, you can also use those.
